Famous Japanese

Formed in Tokyo in 2016, Famous Japanese is an innovative eight-member ensemble featuring musicians who play the Turkish "kanun" and the Indian "sitar." The group masterfully blends Middle Eastern rhythms and melodies with Japanese popular music (J-POP), creating a genre-defying sound that incorporates jazz, dub, hip-hop, and club music. Based in Tokyo, Famous Japanese has gained recognition both domestically and internationally, captivating audiences with their unique fusion of traditional and modern music.

2016年、東京にて結成されたFamous Japaneseは、トルコの伝統楽器「カヌン」とインドの伝統楽器「シタール」をフィーチャーする7人組のアンサンブル。 中東のリズムや旋律を日本のポピュラーミュージック（J-POP）と融合させ、ジャズ、ダブ、ヒップホップ、クラブミュージックなど多様なスタイルを展開している。 東京を拠点に、国内外で活躍し、伝統音楽と現代音楽を見事に融合させたサウンドで観客を盛り上げる。
